MEET ME AT THE NEXT STOP
a mixed media immersive installationThe CuriousWorks newest collaborative artwork, meet me at the next stop, is an anthology-style mixed media immersive installation exploring everyday experiences on public transport.
Developed by 12 Curious Creators, the work combines audio, video, collage and photography installed in a life size BusStop! Thematically the work explores the everyday struggles, anxieties and joys that can be found in the most mundane of places - public transport. The different works involved explored themes such as the false promises of grind culture, combating isolation in a pandemic, and where people find comfort in their everyday surroundings.
Production was delayed due to Sydney’s extended lockdown, and so meet me at the next stop is now slated to launch at the 2022 FUNPARK Festival in March and will be staged again at the GEN2168 Festival Block Party in April.
Artists: Diego Murillo, Samantha Barahona, Sandra May, Tracy Guo, Tanita Razaghi, Huy Nguyen, Miranda Aguilar, Jessica Phoebe Hanna, Shawn Spina, Sivani Yaddanapudi, Saarah Hanif, Amira Halabi
This project was developed with the support of the NSW Government through Create NSW's Rescue & Restart Package.
