The Kids Reporters Program  

The Kids Reporter Program has had a huge year with three different opportunities to train up young people in video documenting and citizen journalism skills. CuriousWorks ran a Kids Reporters Training Program at the FUNPARK Festival in March with local kids in Bidwill playing a key role in interviewing audiences at the FUNPARK Festival. We also trained up a second cohort of 9 - 12 year olds to document the WOW Festival for Children in September and then a select group went on to document a series of creative engagement workshops with children held at the Randwick and Westmead Children’s Hospitals, as part of a hospital revitalisation engagement plan in partnership with City People and Toy Republic.
