ReFill
The ReFILL Arts in Education program is a powerful, consistent in-school multi-arts program that engages young people in contemporary arts—igniting a love of learning through future-focussed, imaginative art, expression and skills development. Lead facilitators of this year's program included Curious Creators Sandra May, Samantha Barahona and Amira Halabi, who ran weekly workshops in the classroom at Miller Technology High School, developing a range of wonderful artworks and creative outcomes with students over the year.
This year's program highlights included the Year 7 Creative Exploration Day at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, where 88 students participated in rotating arts workshops with CuriousWorks artists. Students (and facilitators) also went above and beyond in presenting original artworks and running an amazing Green Screen interactive workshop at the WOW Festival for Children in September, where ReFILL took over the Kids Gallery at the Casula Powerhouse.
